General Betting Rules
“Match” (aka 1X2) is the place it is possible to wager on the (partial or definite) result of a game or event. The choices are:”1″ = Home team/Player 1, or the player listed to the left side of this offer;”X” = Draw/Tie, or the selection at the center;”two” = Away team/Player two, or the participant listed to the ideal side of this deal. Specifically instances or specific competitions, 888 might display an offer from the so-called”American” format (ie: Away Team @ Home Team), in which the host team is listed following the visiting group. No matter the positioning of the groups on the board/betslip, the references to”Home” and”Away” teams will constantly refer to the actual teams playing at home (host) and off (visitor) respectively, as determined by the official business.
“Correct Score” (aka Result Betting) is where it’s likely to wager on the (partial or certain ) precise score of a game or event.
“Over/Under” (aka Totals) is where it’s possible to wager on the (partial or definite) level of a predefined occurrence (e.g. targets, points, corners, rebounds, penalty minutes, etc.). If the whole sum of the recorded occurrences be just equal to the gambling line, then all bets on this offer will be declared void. Case in point: an offer where the betting line is 128.0 points and the game ends with the result 64-64 will be declared void.
“Odd/Even” is where it’s likely to bet on the (partial or certain ) level of a predefined occurrence (e.g. targets, points, corners, rebounds, penalty minutes, etc.). “Odd” is 1,3,5 etc.; “Even” is 0,2,4 etc..
A”Head-to-Head” or”Triple-Head” is a contest between a couple of participants/outcomes, originating from an officially ordered occasion, or else, as virtually defined by 888.
“Half time/Full time” is where it is possible to bet on the result in half time and the final result of this game. E.g. if at all period the score is 1-0 and the game finishes 1-1, the winning outcome is 1/X. The bet is void in the event the regular period of the match is played in another time format compared to those listed in the wager (i.e. other than two halves).
“Period betting” is where it’s likely to wager on the outcome of each separate period within a match/event. E.g.. If the period scores in an ice hockey match are 2-0 / 0-1 / 1-1, the winning result is 1/2/X. The wager is void in the event the normal time of this game is performed in a different time format than those recorded in the wager (i.e. other than three periods).
“Draw No Bet” is where it’s possible to bet on either”1″ or”2″ as defined in”Section B, Para 2.1″. It’s also common practice to refer to”Draw No Bet” in cases where no draw chances can be found. If the specific match comprise no winner (E.g. match ends as a draw), or the specific occurrence not happen (E.g. First Goal, Draw No Bet and also match endings 0-0) the bets will be refunded.
“Handicap” is where it’s likely to bet on whether the chosen outcome will be victorious once the listed handicap is added/subtracted (as applicable) to the match/period/total score to which the bet refers to. In those situations in which the outcome after the alteration of the disability line is exactly equal to the betting line, then all bets on this deal will be declared void. Example: a bet on -3.0 goals will be declared void if the team selected wins the match by exactly 3 objectives difference (3-0,4-1, 5-2, etc). Any reference in this section to the word”margin” is intended to be understood as the consequence appearing from the subtraction of the goals/points scored by the 2 teams/participants.
Unless otherwise stated all handicaps recorded on 888 website are to be calculated based on the result from the start of the listed match/period to the conclusion of the designated match/period. It is however customary that for particular handicap bet offers in specific sports (Asian Handicap in Football), just the results obtained from the period of bet placement until the conclusion of this listed timeframe is going to be taken under consideration, thus disregarding any goals/points scored ahead of the time the bet was placed and accepted. Any bet offer with these attributes will be clearly displayed on website and emphasized in the punter’s Bet History with the score at the time of bet positioning.
There are 3 different”handicap betting” formats:
2-way Handicap: Team A (-1.5) vs Team B (+1.5)
Team A is granted a -1.5 goal handicap in the match. For the bet to be won, Team A should win the game with a perimeter equal or larger than the listed handicap (ie. Two goals or more).
Team B is given a +1.5 goal advantage in the match. For the bet to be won, Team B must either win the match, match end in a draw or never lose with a perimeter equal or bigger than their listed advantage (ie. Shed using a 1 goal margin).
3-way Handicap: Team A (-2) Draw (Just 2) Team B (+2)
Team A is granted a two goal handicap from the match. For the bet to be won, Team A should win the game with a bigger margin than the recorded handicap (ie. 3 goals or more).
Draw would be the victorious outcome if the match wind up with exactly the listed margin (ie. Match ends with results such as 2-0, 3-1 and 4-2).
Team B is granted a 2 goal advantage in this match. For the wager to be won, Team B must either win the match, match end in a draw or not shed with a perimeter equal or larger than their listed advantage (ie. Shed with only a 1 goal margin).
Asian Handicap: Team A (-1.75) vs Team B (+1.75)
Team A is given a -1.75 goal handicap from the game. This means that the bet is split into 2 equal bets and put on the results -1.5 and -2.0. For the wager to be paid out at the recorded odds, Team A must win the match with a bigger margin than both of their recorded handicaps (ie. 3 goals or more gross income ). At the eventuality that Team A wins with only a two goal margin, the wager will be considered as partly won with a complete payout on the -1.5 portion of the wager plus a refund on the -2.0 side since the result on that part of the bet would be considered a”tie”. If the game create any other outcome, such as a Team A victory with only 1 aim of margin, the whole bet will be lost.
Team B is given a +1.75 goal advantage in the game. This usually means that the bet is split into two equal stakes and put on the outcomes +1.5 and +2.0. For the bet to be paid out in the listed odds, Team B must either win the game, match finish in a draw or never shed with a margin equal or bigger than any of the recorded advantages (ie. Lose with just a 1 goal margin). In the eventuality that Team B falls with just a two goal margin, the wager will be considered as partly lost using a refund on the -2.0 portion of the wager and a reduction on the -1.5 part of this bet. If the game create any other result which leads to a defeat of Team B with a perimeter of 3 or more targets, the entire bet would be missing.
“Double Chance” is where it’s possible to bet concurrently on two (partial or definite) outcomes of a game or event. The choices are: 1X, 12 and X2 with”1″,”X” and”2″ as described in”Section B, Para 2.1″.
“Outright” or”Position” gambling is where it’s possible to pick from a list of choices and bet about the eventuality that a participant wins or places within a specified place in the classification of their listed event/competition. If two or more participants discuss finishing positions, the settlement will based according to the definition in”Section B, Para 5.14″.
An”Every Way” wager (aka EW) identifies a bet where the chosen choice has to either Win or else Place within the payout provisions. The bet is split in two parts (the”Win” part and the”Position” component ) of an equivalent bet. Settlement of these stakes will take into consideration the rules governing the”Win” and”Position” stakes, namely the Sport-specific rules also as”Section B, Para 5, Clause 11″.
“Goal minutes” is where it’s possible to wager on the amount of those moments once the goals have been scored. When settling these bets, goals scored in injury time of both halves must be considered as having been scored in the 45th minute in the event the goal was scored in the first half injury time and the 90th minute in case the goal was scored at the second half injury time. Own goals won’t count towards the settlement of player’s’target minutes’.
